We fill our lives with music and we share it with others.
SAO is a community orchestra, dedicated to bringing music into the community and bringing smiles onto the faces of those who would otherwise not be able to attend concerts.
One of our orchestra members is the son of a child survivor of the holocaust who was hidden by a kind and loving family on a farm in Southeastern France. Recently the family who hid this child of the holocaust was honoured for their good deeds with a Righteous Among the Nations designation by Yad Vashem. This is a very special and touching story which we would like to share with you.
What is the use of regular rehearsals without an audience to play for? We look forward to performing holiday favourites (and more) for you at our Friends and Family Holiday Concert, December 7th, 2014!
One of our violists went to New York City and brought back this snippet of a Hotel Pennsylvania doorman singing the famous song — now you’ll have to come hear us play it!
