Season 9 Guest Artists – Callista Foti & Diya Tirone – Vocalists

SAO is excited to have two guest vocalists join us for this year’s 9th Annual Season Finale Concert! Callista Foti and Diya Tirone will be starring in For Good from “Wicked”.


Callista Foti

Callista is a grade 12 arts student at Alexander Mackenzie High School and is thrilled to be joining String Attached for their June concert this year!

Callista is passionate about both musical theatre and classical music and has been extremely active in the Ontario vocal community. She has participated in many voice festivals as a finalist and winner in her categories and has qualified for the OMFA Provincials for both classical and musical theatre for 8 years. She has also taken part in NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) for many years and has received several accolades in both classical and musical theatre including Most Promising Classical Singer twice in her lifetime. Most recently, Callista was a finalist at the DAN School of Musical Theatre Competition and received the Outstanding Musical Theatre Performance award as well as various scholarships at the Newmarket Festival.

Callista is classically trained and is currently working towards her Grade 10 RCM Voice. She has also had the pleasure of taking part in various musicals throughout the years including Spongebob the Musical (Spongebob), Something Rotten (Portia), Oliver! (Nancy), The Drowsy Chaperone (Drowsy), Into the Woods (Lucinda), and original Canadian musicals such as Super School (Gwen) and Red Letter Day the film (Kelly).

Callista has been committed to the Regional Arts Vocal Program at her school and has participated in both their musicals as a performer and co-music director as well as in their school choirs including Mackenzie Singers and Chamber Choir. Aside from her own performance experience, Callista continues to share her passion for the arts with young aspiring performers as a Glee Camp Counsellor and Specialized Arts Instructor for musical theatre with the City of Richmond Hill.

Callista would like to thank Mr. Vuong for connecting her with the amazing Jonathan Wong and for the opportunity to collaborate with other local artists to create beautiful music! She would also like to thank her wonderful friend, Diya Tirone, for singing this special song that is a perfect culmination of their final year of high school together. Diya Tirone

Diya Tirone is a grade 12 student at Alexander Mackenzie High School in the vocal arts program. She has an undying passion for singing and is pursuing the study of vocal jazz performance at the University of Toronto next year. Her credits include Fiona in Shrek The Musical (Mackenzie Music), Nancy in Oliver (Mackenzie Music), Maggie in A Chorus Line (Mackenzie Music) and Belle in Beauty and the Beast (M.L.P.S.). She would like to thank her family and friends for their immense support throughout her music journey. Diya is thrilled to perform “For Good ” with the Strings Attached Orchestra and is so grateful for the opportunity to grow as a musician through this experience. 

Diya would specifically like to thank Mr. Vuong for all his support and for providing her with this opportunity, along with a special thanks to Jonathan for coaching and welcoming her to perform “For Good”. Lastly, Diya would like to thank Callista for the many performances they have done together over the years, thanks to her, she has definitely been changed for good.
